Small token present ideas- £5ish

I wondered if I could start a thread for little present ideas that aren't just a boring tim of biscuits or bottle of wine?

We have various aunts and uncles to buy for. I like to buy them something small as a token gift, but I tend to only spend a fiver or so on each couple.

Previous years I've got: wildflower seed bombs, magnetic notepad for the fridge, small Christmas tray etc. I want them to be something useful and not just for the sake of it!

Any ideas? Especially gardening related would be good.

You can never fo wrong with handcream for gardeners. I buy things like this and split them up and attach them to say a really nice bar of chocolate, tablet, fudge etx

Nesti Dante soap, smells divine!

Irishfarmer · 15/11/2021 12:09

Wild flower bombs are a great idea!

A pot of local honey/ luxury jam?

Irishfarmer · 15/11/2021 12:10

@Mantlemoose I've had some of those before, they are really good.

FireworkParrot · 15/11/2021 14:42

Really nice bar of soap. I like Nesti Dante as above as they're a big bar, wrapped in pretty paper with lovely scent.

A bit over your budget but my favourite two Christmas presents ever from DH have both been little things around the £10 mark. A bottle top red wine aerator and a USB rechargeable stick lighter. Both small things but used all the time.

Bought my DF a magnetic shopping list and magnetic pen holder for the fridge last year and he was delighted.

Not trying to be picky but id be very disappointed with a wild flower "bomb". I love wildlife gardening but I just wait and see what turns up naturally in the hedges and the lawn is manicured in parts but left long in other places. I'd appreciate bird food though.

Indoor plant or potted bulbs.

Lightisnotwhite · 15/11/2021 22:08

Plants - climbers are good if they like outdoor gardening (supermarket).

Gardening gloves ( they get trashed ). Even a Poundland pair with chocolate/ beer or wine. Shows you get gardening but still useful.

Ironic fridge magnet? I gave out 1950’s nudist postcards.magnets with a mini wine

Do you live near the sea? Big bag of seaweed would be good!

Solar powered garden ornament. Outdoor garden clock or wall ornament

RandomRoulette · 15/11/2021 23:59

Growbar sounds like it would be good, although they are around a tenner each so might stretch the budget too much.
