I hate Kevin the carrot!

…not him personally but the Aldi christmas ads. I dislike them every yeah. This years is the worst with the banana. Even more the ridiculous hype over buying the plush versions!
Quite like the JL ad, really like the Tesco one. M&S is my favourite this year though.

I know what you mean. Unfortunately my mum loves him and was desperate for a pair of Kevin pyjamas last year. I couldn't get any from the actual store and ended up paying double from eBay. 🤦🏻‍♀️

She loved them though, to be fair.

I bought a Kevin wearing a kilt soft toy. I don’t know why. Maybe I thought it would encourage pfb to like vegetables? 😂

This is what I think too. I have a family member that buys my DDs one of the soft toys every year and I just don't get it. It's obviously very kind of them but at the end of the day it's just a marketing campaign from a supermarket.

I don't hate Kevin the carrot but I do giggle at the queues and panic to buy a carrot shaped soft toy

YANBU They're dragging it out too long.
The panic for the merchandise is ridiculous, there are charity shops full of the ones from previous years.

I quite like the adverts but don't get the soft toy thing at all. But to each their own I guess

Here in Germany he's called Kai and... nobody bothers about him! I quite like him, I bought the wee soft toys for my kids last year, but there were no queues or anything and plenty left

No idea about carrots called Kevin, but M&S's total Percy Pig overkill pisses me right off.

I quite like it. I like the ads and the kids love the toys. My mum bought them Kevin, Katie & the kids one year and I picked up the parsnip when he came out. Last year (?) we walked in as the hedgehogs were being put out so I got one those, he is currently one of DS's favourite toys & sleeps on his bed. I don't think he even remembers where he came from. I certainly wouldn't be queuing for them or paying over the odds on eBay but if I see a banana or radish to match the others then I'll pick one up. It's a bit of fun for the kids, plus a percentage of the sales goes to charity.

I wonder how many toys there are? There's a different outfit each year for the whole family so if you bought the full set each year that's about 6 Kevins, 5 Katies & 4 sets of kids? Plus the friends/grandparents/enemies, the giant ones, tree decorations... Does anyone have a full collection?!

None of the Christmas ads have really stood out for me this year.

By far the best Christmas advert! Kevin the carrot is a legend now!

Oh agreed re Percy pig…I mean the main M&S advert I like, not the food one with dawn French and Percy pig .
