Spending Christmas alone. Any ideas please?

My DH will be working abroad this year over Christmas and New Year so I'll be home alone. We normally do very little for Christmas anyway and usually when DH is away I'm fine on my own but I'm just wondering how I'm going to feel on the day.

Is anyone else doing the same? If so, what plans do you have for the day?

Could you see if you could spent Christmas with a close friends family I'm sure they would feel fine about I don't want you to feel alone

The ideas that stand out for me are getting out of the house to get some fresh air and having a nice walk, getting in some good food and nibbles and slouching on the sofa watching TV. I'm not really into Christmas telly (and let's face it, it seems to get worse each year) so I'll do some research as to what's on Netflix etc and keep a note of them.

I can see, as some of you have already said, preparation is the key thing here. Thank you all again.
