Aftershave for a 15yo boy

I'm looking for something nice for my nephew and he's at an age when he's starting to get into aftershave. I haven't a clue about what sort of things are suitable for boys of that age. I'm getting him a hoody too but I's love to get him a special bottle of aftershave. Something age appropriate and definitely not too heavy. Help please!
Bonus points if I can get him the shower gel etc too. But I don't want a "boots" set - he's my only nephew so I want to get him a lovely bottle.

I think Tommy Now (Tommy Hilfiger) is aimed at younger men or CK One but that might be a bit old fashioned now for teenagers. I'm not really sure. Neither of my boys were ever really into scents. I bought one a holister set one year. But again, if he is really into labels, that might not be high end enough.

What sort of labels is he in to? That might give a clue as to a brand he likes and you can see if there is a suitable aftershave to match?

DS (16) likes David Beckham stuff. The one in a black box. (I am rubbish and can't be more specific than that)

TwigTheWonderKid · 13/11/2021 15:46

My MIL bought DS the David Beckham one last year and I was surprised by how nice it was!

ElephantOfRisk · 13/11/2021 15:48

The thing with the gift sets is that in the boxes they can look cheap and thoughtless but if you find something nice in a set, you can take it out the box and wrap it up nicely as separate things and it will look more thoughtful and expensive.

Invictus is amazing

QueenofLouisiana · 13/11/2021 15:48

I bought Hollister stuff for DS last year, he’s using it regularly now as part of his 6th form image. Grin

jalepenocheese · 13/11/2021 15:49

Adidas. Lynx. Blue jeans. Are reasonably cheap and not bad for a young boy.
Have a look in Avon analogue too!

ElephantOfRisk · 13/11/2021 15:52

This is a nice article that recommends some for teenagers and gives a good description of the scent:

From that age my son wore Millions, Sauvage
Tom Ford and Diesel.

He’s just bought Phantom by Paco Robanne, it comes in a Robot shaped bottle which is very cool and seems popular.

Roselilly36 · 13/11/2021 15:55

My DS’ love Homme by David Beckham, also POLICE To BE, And CK ONE.

WildExcuses · 13/11/2021 15:57

I meant to say my son had had the Sauvage shower gel too and I think the others do shower gels as well. They’re expensive for shower gel though imo.

BananaPB · 13/11/2021 16:14

The David Beckham ones are cheap and surprisingly nice. Next time I go into town I was going to smell the Ted Baker ones as they are reasonably priced too.

I pick by smell, price and brand if I want to look like I'm making an effort. For BF there's usually something like a Hugo Boss or Versace on offer.

@ThankYouVeryMuchGerry Hello, perfume blogger here. I recently wrote a post on this exact topic. I have a 15 yr old son and he loves Davidoff Cool Water. My 12 yr old DS likes Adidas and David Beckham, both very good.

I just posted the same on another thread but I would really recommend pack rabanne one million. Really popular for that age group.

It's also have price in boots just now and there is a voucher for an extra £5 off too
