I can never understand why they insist on advertising them as christamas gifts.

TinselHockey · 13/12/2007 19:20

I want a toothbrush squeezer thing. I think they're fab.

SatsumaMoon · 13/12/2007 19:21

Tinker · 13/12/2007 19:22

southeastastra · 13/12/2007 19:23

RIELOVESBACARDI · 13/12/2007 19:24

my kids want the ones that play music into your head

expatinscotland · 13/12/2007 19:24

YES! I want that wireless one that directs you as you brush.

Oooo, I wish!

That'd be fab.

Oral hygiene is an essential part of grooming.

RIELOVESBACARDI · 13/12/2007 19:25

i got my dad one for his birthday cos he wanted one

Lizzer · 13/12/2007 19:33

Does it come with GPS? 'turn left at the first molar'

AimsmumPaPumPumMeAndMyDrum · 13/12/2007 19:36

I have DD one of the ones that plays music in your head! A Hannah Montanna one!

Champagneforlunch · 13/12/2007 20:05

I can almost understand the musical ones actually think my sister wanted one of those (she's 28).
But a £100 toothbrush why?
It's like here a have a toothbrush cause you obviously don't brush them enough with you cheap £3 oral B from tesco and its obvious.

HairyIrene · 13/12/2007 20:18

MerryBiglipsmas · 13/12/2007 20:19

Dp got one for Xmas and i bought one for my mum too...but i cannot hold it as it goes right thru me!!

expatinscotland · 13/12/2007 20:20

it's an Oral B one, liz, and sensors in the brush track your movements, which are then fed into a wireless monitor that gives you directions like, 'a little harder' or 'time to move to the left'.

it also times your brushing so you get the full 2 minutes.

Lizzer · 13/12/2007 20:26

OMG, what will they think of next?! I honestly had never heard of such a thing.

(I have a problem with authority though Expat, so I think it would be headfirst down the toilet once it started with the orders )

expatinscotland · 13/12/2007 20:28

I have a major problem with authority!

Big time.

But when it comes to good-looking teeth all hail the Gods of Grooming.

QuintessentialShadowOfSnowball · 13/12/2007 20:34

I gave my husbands cousin one for Christmas a few years ago.
Well, I did not know what to get him, and it had been in our bathroom cabinet unopened a few months. And I really was fed up buying the gifts for my husbands family.

Later my husband told me he had actually had it out of the box, and tried with toothpaste and all..... so in effect, I gave my husbands cousin a second hand electric tooth brush for Christmas, beat that!

misspenguin · 13/12/2007 20:50

my friend's DS who is 6 told Santa in the grotto last weekend that he wanted an electric toothbrush this year for Christmas! So, yes, people do want them!!!!

itcameuponamidnightclayre · 13/12/2007 20:52

my brother asked me for one and they must be popular cos it was bloody hard to get one, everywhere was sold out

chipo · 13/12/2007 20:56

Dh asked for one this year, thankfully it was half price so only paid £50 which i think is nuts for a toothbrush, but hey ho.
