're-usable crackers

Been thinking that crackers are such a waste, it all goes in the bin.
Would like to find some that I can use every year.
Has anyone done this ? Where did you buy them ? What did you do about the snap, that etc ? Obviously I'd get a little treat to go inside.

You crack them by breaking them. How could they be reused?

Better to not bother if you don't want the waste. I know that if my severely autistic ds didn't talk about them all year, we wouldn't bother.

If you Google "fabric crackers" lots are available. They can be filled with stuff and pulled apart then reused but they're about £10 each so a very expensive option - even if used again each year - and presumably they don't actually "pop" like normal crackers

I do agree with you about the waste so we probably just won't bother with crackers at all, rather than trying to get a reusable version. Maybe I will get some paper hats and just put one out for each person and skip the cracker popping part.

www.keepthiscracker.com/store/ These ones are reusable and have snaps.

Or get the fabric ones and tell everyone to shout bang
