My son will be 5 very close to Xmas. He is having a class party so will have an abundance of £10 toys.

Any ideas on what bigger presents I can get him?
He's already got a bike, a remote control car and scooter.

He's into dinosaurs, cars robots.
Same again for Xmas really, he'll get lots of smaller toys off family and friends. So I want ideas for bigger toys.

Thanks in advance

Trip to the Natural History Museum (or another museum if it's more local to you) to see the dinosaurs?

They had some pretty big robot toys in tesco the other day not sure what age they're from sorry, but they were about 30 odd pounds.

Would he be into skateboarding or rollerskating?

Knex and lego type stuff would be good. There's meccano junior sets as well I think from 5 plus - there's a racing car and motorbike sets at argos in the 2 for 15 offers.

Something nice for the garden that he can enjoy all year, a swing set or tree house type thing depending on your budget.
Definitely Lego, especially ones that come with storage.
My kids started getting into remote control cars at that age, they're always good fun.

In our school we all put £5 in a card as the peers presents. This means the birthday child can go buy a substantial present from the money instead of having lots of parents shopping for £10 presents.

Also Lego is a big hit with my 5 year old.

My son is also 5 a few days before Christmas and having a whole class party. I expect any gifts he receives will be total tat, so it hasn't really effected my present choices.

I'm getting him Lego, Playmobil, a learner skateboard, kite, binoculars, kidizoom watch, frisbee, stomp rocket, hot wheels storage that converts to a ramp, projector torch, giant magnet, giant foam glider, imaginext and Gotham jail.

Not a massive present but a speed track set?
