Thanks @famousthehero for the title. I had no idea you could buy such things and I’m now imagining scores of children getting owl poo as a present for Christmas! They must be popular as they’re now out of stock 🤣.

Argos have a third off some happy nappers if they are on anyone’s list!

Justonemorecup81 · 11/11/2021 16:39

I've been asked to buy bath toys for a baby. He will only be 3 months at Christmas but thinking I will aim for 6 months+. Any recommendations, it's been a while since I had a tiny baby? Thanks

MeredithGreyishblue · 11/11/2021 16:40

@MerylSqueak

No *@PinkDaydreams*. Real stuff is often better. I did the same with a doctor's kit!

@RJnomore1 oh thanks! Might just buy them then!

@clpsmum thank you SO SO much! You saved me £22 which meant dd could get 2 charms rather than one. 🎄

PinkDaydreams · 11/11/2021 16:46

Thank you! I honestly thought maybe I'm a bit crazy buying regular whisk and bowl but the kids sets come with stuff he's already got.
Love the idea of a make your own doctor's kit, I think I may pinch that for his birthday!! Thank you! Grin

@Justonemorecup81 My 8 & 5 year olds still play with stacking cups from Sainsbury's! Squirty toys are fun but they get really manky after a while. Bath books are also fun
NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 11/11/2021 16:47

@Ourlady they have the shades on like we used to have in the 70’s/80’s - gives a warmer colour. They are trendy again and I have bought some of the original type with the bulbs BUT, as they used to do back in the day, they pop all the time which is very annoying once on tree. Led lights are a lot better for lasting but they can be too harsh.

Dd got this one last year and it's currently reduced too . LOADS of dye in it and easy to use and store.

I’ve got a 9 month old and a 3 year old that both seem to enjoy pouring type toys. We’ve got stacking cups that migrated to the bath and 3yo pours with them whilst the baby chews them. Do be careful to avoid any toys that have air holes in them though (like some rubber ducks) as they get manky really quickly

I think when they’re really little (or 3!) then the easiest toy is to splash the living daylights out of whichever adult is supervising bathtime 😩

psuedocream3 · 11/11/2021 16:56

@Justonemorecup81 My youngest will be almost 3 months at Christmas, I bought him the Christmas bath set from Dunelm for £5, they are really lovely and such good value. I also bought bath ducks from there which are bigger than standard bath ducks, only £2 each but these are for my duck obsessed toddler

Room4onemore · 11/11/2021 16:58

Ok I’m on the lookout for the Disney Christmas snoodie and the stitch snoodie from primark, desperately. I’ve not seen them in the primarks by me 😢

Motherofplants · 11/11/2021 16:59

For bath toys - the ones with holes mold really fast, but you can fill the holes with super glue to make them waterproof Grin

clpsmum · 11/11/2021 17:03

@thaegumathteth that's brilliant

M&S have sent me the Gary Barlow offer, too. The nearest venue is over 2 hours away, and even with £10 off the prices are £6 - £10 above what they say is face value.

Dare I say that I couldn’t pick Gary Barlow out in a crowd? Not my era.

I could have donated the Percy Pig blanket. Wink

I’ll stay home and eat my £5.90 chocolate instead. It will last longer than the concert.
