Thanks @famousthehero for the title. I had no idea you could buy such things and I’m now imagining scores of children getting owl poo as a present for Christmas! They must be popular as they’re now out of stock 🤣.

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

Do smyths toys ever have money off codes? I found a couple online but who knows if they even work because I couldn't even find a box to enter any code 😅

Scout2016 · 11/11/2021 13:30

I like PP's thread GB title suggestion but "the one where no one bought Gary Barlow tickets" might be more apt. Unless I am mistaken and that sparks offer has been too tempting to resit!

IggyAce · 11/11/2021 13:32

Bargain Morphe pallet from LF if you use code TREAT50 it takes the price to £16.80.
Same code can be used on selected products here

@NaturalBlondeYeahRight @RainbowZebraWarrior

I've been to two Aldi's this morning, neither had the lights or spaces for them.

I asked in the first one, the lady said they weren't on the delivery (she didn't know why), that they might be in the delivery tonight, might be tomorrow, she wasn't sure. I said I knew there were some issues with supply chains.

I'm guessing it's a nationwide issue then (initially wondered if it was area specific). They have other Christmas lights on the website that say check in store on the 14th - I wonder if all the lights will be then now? From a selfish point of view, it's annoying if they are, as I avoid shops at the weekends due to issues with crowds and sensory input...maybe I could ask my mum to pop in...

@torthecatlady thank you for looking Star I will look on EBay.

thaegumathteth · 11/11/2021 13:59
@thaegumathteth I'm pretty sure the mean were £19 and the ladies £15
Thank you!!
@thaegumathteth Drat! It's expired.

I'd meant to ask yesterday as well, but ran out of time.
@clpsmum thanks I'll give that a shot!

I'd prefer a Percy blanket!
EightToSixer · 11/11/2021 14:10

I was offered Gary Barlow tickets and have no desire to see him live. I did, however, also get a 20% off clothing and beauty so have saved £20 ish on Christmas Pjs and socks etc for stockings.

@Carriemac

Could someone reminded me about the best place to buy an instax mini Polaroid ? DN has decided she wants one
Urban Outfitters have the Instax Minis for £79 but with £10 off spends over £70 today with code SINGLESDAY.

Or John Lewis has one for £64.99 but seemingly only in pink for that price.

Tinysnickers · 11/11/2021 14:33

Stocking fillers... Home Bargains this morning had a selection of 'joke items' for 50p each which I will use as stocking fillers.
Whoopee cushions, fart whistle, nail through finger, pencil through finger, ring that squirts water.
Also for 99p a selection of 'build your own animal/car/truck' which each have a little motor to put in. I got a few so we can have races on xmas morning. There were classic cars, various trucks, panda, tiger, lion, rhino and a selection of dinosaurs too.

Anyone manage to find the pickwick / Canterbury bells lights instore in Aldi today? They didn't have them in mine yet, but they did admit that things weren't quite running as much like clockwork as they used to regarding everything being in time for Special Buys.
No!! Went to 2 different stores, about a 40 mile round trip! Absolutely useless! None of the lights or other Christmas bits I wanted were in stock. Staff fed up as well! Their Christmas production line is not running smoothly!!
psuedocream3 · 11/11/2021 14:37

@Carriemac the Instax Mini 11 you can get at Skinnydip for £56 using code R3NFW4 for 20% off. Also works on the film packs too. Hope that helps. The cloud instax bundle looks good for £72.25 using code SORRYGIFT15 for 15% off as it was already reduced.

guineapigs · 11/11/2021 14:38

@Fartymcfart I got dc Lego sets they wanted in reduced price but they knew already in summer that those sets are what they want for Xmas. I also bought one toy full price because I was afraid they sell out and that has happened or at least its difficult to find stock.

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 11/11/2021 14:40

@Maharajah20 @RainbowZebraWarrior The ones I ordered on line are delayed. I’ll update you when I get a despatch notice - they might appear in store at around the same time.

Georgieporgie29 · 11/11/2021 14:43

Any Oliver Bonas codes please? I think I’m going to take the plunge with the diffuser mentioned a while back (although a bit confused between the £45/£60 one, not sure what the difference is)

Tinysnickers · 11/11/2021 14:44

I usually get this type of the roll from Dunelm or The Range. They usually have some patterns on offer so last time I picked up a huge piece (for a 2.5metre long outdoor table) for around £13, which I felt was quite reasonable.

Tinysnickers · 11/11/2021 14:44

Ugh, sorry the quote thing didn't pull through for some reason, the above message was in response to the tablecloth question earlier this morning.

Mumof3loveschristmas · 11/11/2021 14:47

Hi I bought the hot chocolate shaker for my son for Christmas, he loves a good hot chocolate but normally just uses the powder. Just wondering what everyone has used with theirs? I'm planning on doing some sort of hamper.

clpsmum · 11/11/2021 14:51

@Georgieporgie29 15% off ZDBBUKHOB2TK

Tinysnickers · 11/11/2021 14:52

Also, I'd like to give a mention to www.rewildbotanics.co.uk for wax melts.
I met this lovely lady yesterday in John Lewis where they had a popup stand, and the melts smelled so lovely that despite usually sticking firmly to aromatherapy oils I bought two. She has some really lovely Christmassy scents too, I got frosted pear from the Christmas range and my house is smelling lovely now. They are packaged beautifully, like little chocolate bars.

Does anyone have an Argos code please? My basket of £42 is waiting ;)

Aww that would be great! Thank you! Nearest Aldi is about 15 miles away then another 5 miles after that for the next one so I can’t keep popping in every day. I REALLY want those lights as well 😂 🤞
Thanks!
