Advent calendar ideas

My dds (10 and 6) have refillable advent calendars with 24 tiny drawers. I could out sweets or chocolates in but wondered if anyone had any alternative suggestions. In previous years I've done stickers, little charm bracelet charms or hairclips etc but struggling to think of something they'd appreciate that would fit on the tint drawers, which are about an inch square.

Lego dots

Something that builds up over the 24 days, like a 24 piece jigsaw puzzle with one new piece got each day. Or a craft activity that works in a similar way.

Or something on paper - Christmas jokes, riddles, or a clue to a treasure hunt that they have to solve to either open the next day, or find a larger gift that didn't fit in the tiny box!

What about little fossils or crystals in some of the drawers? A shiny £ coin?

Thanks, some great ideas here! I also thought of little Christmas tree decorations but I'm definitely going to save some of the ideas for the future. Crystals is inspired!

Can I ask what Lego dots actually are? I hadn't heard of them but have seen them mentioned on a few Christmas threads and think they could be a good idea for a present of some kind but can't really work out what exactly they are for

I've done lego mini figures, pin badges, small ornaments and Pokemon characters.

I used to buy stuff from Aliexpress to fill the drawers each year but this year she asked for a Funko Pop Five Nights at Freddies calendar.

We've done Pokemon cards the past two years and DS 8 has asked for it again.

We buy a Lego set and split the instructions/correct pieces across 8-10 drawers so it gets built gradually.

Then the rest are usually sweets and the odd rubber, pencil sharpener, stickers, Xmas word search puzzle that we'd written out, etc.

I need to get organised, haven't got the contents sorted yet.Smile

Build-a-Bear have their lovely Advent Calendar available & are currently allowing you to stack discount codes.
JOLLY25 gives 25% off (applies to anything on the website I believe) and works with the code FREEDELIVERY. Making it less than half price 🙂 The advent calendar is super cute! It comes with 6 little bears and lots of different clothes etc to dress them with. 🐻 Worth it I think, for £19.25! 🎄
