Honestly haven’t got a clue other than buying her some fudge! What’s everyone getting for their mums of this age?

My 87 year old mum wants to go on a speedboat along the Menai straits, (preferably with Daniel Craig).

Pure linen PJs (H&M)
Flower Subscription (getting for my mum this year, I think!)
Chunky knitwear from Toast, Cos, Plumo or Hush
Rituals gift set

Your time, so voucher for something you will do together.

My grans were both happy to get more upmarket versions of their usual, so Orange period tea rather than glengetti, bath Oliver's rather than mornin coffee biscuits. One year I made dried apricots in a brandy syrup. Also nice chocolates.

My Mum's 73, she's asked for a dressing gown from M&S. I've also just ordered her some shower steamers, and I'll probably get her a nice candle and some chocolate as well.

Magazine subscription
Voucher for manicure or pedicure
Jewellery
Alexa
Calendar

These are the usual things I go for. DM is 73

Sounds brilliant, how do you wash it?

LadyGAgain · 07/11/2021 21:55

I’ve bought her a Night Owl one. I have similar ones from M and S on guest beds but they don’t seem to have any at the moment and the Night Owl ones get great reviews. I put mine in the washing machine and they dry over the banisters very quickly (though you can tumble dry them too)

Wouldn't we all!

Heated throw? Oodie?

Mischance · 07/11/2021 22:48

Put together an album of photos of you and the children during this year - easily done online and will be much treasured.

MondeoFan · 07/11/2021 22:56

My mum is that age.
I'm buying
Slippers
Chocs in a light up box from M&S
Face Moisturiser

Mines getting alpaca lux socks so far! Probably add in a naice rosé, a Mac Lippy and last year a cheese hamper from the fine cheese company went down extremely well
