Hi all

I have a girl who will be 19 months at Xmas and am struggling for ideas for her. She has hand me down toys from her brother. So already have a kitchen, duplo, megablox and some general toys like ball pool, the ball table and activity tables etc.

What has been big hits for your little ones? I am debating some digger toys as she had a thing with them since next door has works going on. Oh and loves horses and doggies..

Melissa and Doug horse set - they do a horse care one with a soft toy in a stable with brushes and other accessories or a take along stable with a place for each horse figure (8 I think) both big hits with my 2 daughters at that age

Usbourne sound books are lovely. We have woodland sounds and nighttime sounds but they do many others

Toys for the bath

Melissa and Doug ice cream counter - again a big hit with my two and all visiting children

Toddler trampoline

Play silks - mine have had them since they were toddlers & they still get used for dress up/small world play years later.

Agree with the Melissa and Doug take along show horses - they don't look like much but my 18 month old plays with them every day. Knocking them down, putting them in and out of the stables, pretending to race them Etc.

Also Melissa and Doug, the ice cream parlour is fantastic and will last years. My 4yo still plays with hers and its on offer on Amazon at the moment.

Aldi also do some great wooden food sets, the rainbow cake one would be popular here. They have some lovely dolls bits as well if she's into babies.

For smaller bits and pieces mine loves playdoh, colouring pens and book, sticker books, cuddly toys.
