Decent science kit for 11-year-old?

Help! I’m stuck for my 11-year-old son. I think he’d like a science kit or something similar but I can’t find one that’s not too young or is not just a box of plastic with no ingredients. Any recommendations?

My DS has had so many not very good Science kits over the years. I got him WILD! Science - MIND BOGGLING Kids Science Experiments off Amazon for half term and it was absolutely brilliant. Everything worked and he thought it was fabulous!

This year ive given the 'build your own internal combustion engine' kit from Argos to two different science loving kids and it has been a really successful gift.
Otherwise what elements of science is the recipient interested in? No point giving a chemistry set to an engineer or a microscope to a chemist Smile

A Turing Tumble is quite good.

Excellent, thank you - I’ll take a look at all of these. @ODFOgrinch, he has quite a broad interest across the sciences and loves maths too. He’s not into computing. He had a telescope for his birthday and is well covered for space generally, but any other type of science kit could be of interest.

A friend gets an MEL Science subscription for his 12yo. This might help too: www.allsubscriptionboxes.co.uk/best-stem-subscription-box-uk/
