Please can someone recommend me a fake oodie - my 11 year old daughter would love one for Christmas but isn’t fussed about having the real thing. Thanks.

Next has nice ones. And I noticed Primark had them in the ladies section.

Another vote for the next ones

I got ds the camo print one in age 11-13 and it's lovely!

It's down to his knees but not too long in the arms

careerchangeperhaps · 03/11/2021 12:49

@superstar84 How old / tall is your DS? I'm debating whether to get this size for 10 year old (averagely tall DS) as I wondered if the 7-10 would be outgrown too quickly, or if they're really quite generous.

superstar84 · 03/11/2021 12:51

He's 150cm, usually size 11-12 in next clothes

If you want any measurements from the 11-13 size let me know

careerchangeperhaps · 03/11/2021 12:54

@superstar84 Thank you. DS is only just 10 and isn't quite 140cm yet so the 7-10 would probably be ok.

superstar84 · 03/11/2021 12:57

It's 98cm long from the shoulders if it helps

Next ,amazon and primark all good imo.

I bought this last Christmas for DD17. She
Absolutely loves it. Wears it every single day even in summer.

We have Sienna oversize hoodies from onlinehomeshop and they're lovely and soft. £15 so reasonably priced :)

Primark ones are excellent. I got one this week and it's super cosy and warm

Carrie76 · 03/11/2021 16:19

I bought primark and then returned it for a next one. Next ones are super soft, I went with 7-10 which will be massive on my 6yr old but I figure she can grow into it Smile

sunshineandshowers21 · 03/11/2021 16:21

my mum bought me the primark one for my birthday last week and i haven’t had it off since. so cosy! my fourteen year old son has been eyeing it up so i’m getting him a plain grey one for christmas.

Sadiequeenofscots · 03/11/2021 16:22

I started a thread recently about this as Dd11 has asked for one for Xmas too.

In the end I went for Snuggly

careerchangeperhaps · 03/11/2021 17:30

Thank you for all your help @superstar84

Those who already have one - do your DC use theirs instead of a dressing gown / robe? I'm wondering if there's a need for both (mine tend to use dressing gowns for lounging around in the morning or just before bed if they've had a bath etc).

boobybum · 03/11/2021 17:45

I got one for DH from Savers last year and have since bought four more. They are warm but not too thick and the sleeves are long but not too long so I can still cook, wash up etc whilst wearing it. They are also reversible with a pocket on both sides. They could definitely be used in lieu of a dressing gown.
