Secret Santa gift help!

Someaddedsugar · 02/11/2021 06:52

In both mine and DPs families we do a £10 secret Santa for the adults and I hope someone can help with one of mine!

Mid 40s, male, likes cycling, motorbikes, Mexican food and alternative music.

Has previously been bought every bit of cycling gadget or related tat (think bicycle pizza cutter or bike repair kit) and so think I should avoid this and motorbikes.

He has a number of t-shirts with bands and illustrations on but I couldn’t be 100% sure of his size.

Long story short - can anyone think of a Mexican food gift (or anything amazing related to the other hobbies) for £10?

You could have a look in the food bit in TK Maxx or Homesense, they have lots of things that might work for that price.

What about something from the Spicery?

www.thespicery.com/mexican-mole-rosa-ensalada-de-frutas-2021 2 course Mexican

www.thespicery.com/kolhapuri-chicken-mexican-birri-with-chipotle-salsa-2021 one Indian meal and one Mexican

The spicery always gets good reviews on here and they have stocking fillers in budget. Mainly asian food but a few mexican/tex mex ones also

Someaddedsugar · 02/11/2021 21:36

Thank you for the Spicery recommendation! I have just found something for DP as well as a possible Secret Santa Grin

What about a Wahaca cookery book? Or a tortilla warmer as seen here www.homebakinggifts.co.uk/gifts-for-mexican-food-lovers

I love Mexican food but honestly wouldn't know what to do when cooking with spices and stuff. Liking to eat food and being a cook are wildly different things.

I would suggest finding a good local Mexican restaurant or takeaway and getting a meal gift card if you're going that route.

MexGrocer is excellent for ingredients - maybe some chillies?

Try to find some waterproof socks if he’s into his mountain biking.
