Letters back from Santa

Our daughter Izzy is age 5 and she is at the age where she understands Santa Claus this year. Do any of your write the letters to Santa and then do the reply, yourself or do some of you not reply? I don't know if I am meant to reply or not and her father took the letter to the postbox with her yesterday. Help I have never done this before

I get them from polar post every year, they are awesome

I used to get them from Santa knows me they’re really well done. I missed the cut off date last year and had to do up my own. Kids didn’t notice any difference and I saved €40!

Carrie76 · 31/10/2021 19:53

She’ll only expect a reply if you tell her she’ll be getting one (in my opinion!)

I used to do them myself. Coloured paper, some glitter, draw a reindeer hoof print... I also used to do notes 'from the fairies' that came through the fairy door in dds bedroom and left her glitter and stuff. Fun times..

You can pay the NSPCC a small donation and they’ll send a personalised letter to you. Or in future years of you post a bit later the Royal Mail will reply!

Another vote for NSPCC letters. We have used them for several years now.

The NSPCC ones are lovely and a great cause too.

mam0918 · 01/11/2021 10:26

I order the NSPCC ones most years.

Although they put the suggested donation price up this year to a crazy amount (£12 per letter and I have 3 to buy and I'm not rich enough to pay £36 just for 3 letters be it charity or not - they have been accused of being greedy in the past when they charged £5 per letter but this year really is pushing it).

For the couple few years I didn't get NSPCC ones I get the activity pack ones of places like Groupon which are like £3.99 - £5.99 each and come with other things like Santa stop here signs and Nice list certificates etc...

Battendownthesnacks · 01/11/2021 10:28

Royal Mail will reply free of charge if you send a letter to their Santa address.

Thanks everyone really great feedback. In the end we went with www.theletterfromsanta.com as their letters were really good and only £6.99 . I would have gone with the NSPCC but I can't afford £12 per letter, so going to give a donation to them as I think its a great cause.
