I love doing stockings but its becoming harder as she's older! Interests are academic - economics, Russian politics, playing sims and she works as a swim teacher.. no other real hobbies, she's off to uni next year but can't really think of anything other than the obligatory chocolates, miniatures and soap

These might be the normal stuff but just thought I'd give some ideas

Face mask
Hair mask
Nail varnish
Bath bomb
Candle
A long phone charger
Fluffy socks
Hair brush
£10 voucher for some where (Amazon, coffee shop)
Nutella with her name on
Stationary

Never too old for chocolate coins

SarBear1980 · 29/10/2021 15:18

Russian literature? Anna Karenina or Crime and Punishment? Bookishly do bookmarks, prints, related book items is she is a reader.

Lovemusic33 · 29/10/2021 15:22

My dd is the same age, mainly get her food (American or Japanese food), novelty socks, lush bath bomb, a book, novelty pizza cutter (pizza is her favourite), gloves/wrist warmers, pens and lip balm.

Lindt chocolate Santa (or her favourite Christmassy chocolate)
Socks

Small book
Her favourite moisturiser (she must get dry skin if she's in the pool a lot?)

DD so far has,

A hairbrush made from recycled plastic
A Bob Ross bobble head
PB&J jellybeans
A mini bottle of pink Freixenet Prosecco
A water bottle
A fold up shopping bag with cats on

That's probably about as much as her stocking will hold but I may squeeze in a Toblerone.

DangerousMouse · 29/10/2021 20:56

I've made such an error... the kids stockings are just too big! we replaced them a couple of years ago and got smaller ones, but they're still too big

Joma bracelet
Gift card for Costa/Starbucks
Chocolate orange
Premium shower gel/body spray
Benefit do nice makeup miniatures

pourmeanotherglass · 29/10/2021 21:33

Last year we bought each other fluffy socks to fill rather than using the giant stockings. DDs are 17 and 19, and they did mine between them.

OnTheHillNotOverIt · 29/10/2021 23:29

So far for stockings I’ve bought

Some nice measuring spoons for cooking
A vintage leaf brooch from a charity shop
Small moleskine notebooks
Hand balm (lavender) for the ones with very dry hands
Packet of Bee friendly seeds
Socks
Personalised crochet hook

There are sims themed gifts like earrings, mugs, stickers on Etsy and Redbubble.

As an academic/bookish 17yr old i would have LOVED this
necklace

Rolled up cool design literary posters would take up space?
Eg
Anna Karenina
War & Peace
Or just any of these

DiamondBright · 30/10/2021 08:26

I might put a Costa gift card in for eldest DD this year, I'm trying to make it a bit more grown up but still fun.

BadlydoneHelen · 30/10/2021 08:45

A magazine rolled up is good for filling up a stocking
