Ordered two books that dd9 has asked for. She doesn't like to read but they are both related to a game she plays on her phone.

I pre ordered these on Saturday (it didn't state a date anywhere).

I've received this email today. 😳😳

When I worked in publishing we had a default release date that was given to things that had no expected release date yet. It was way in the future, to avoid confusion. I imagine that's what this is.

I ordered a graphic novel for my ed for Christmas one year, or maybe her birthday. I can't remember now, but she eventually got it over a year later due to the publishing being put back about 3 times.

Yes I did but they obviously didn't realise it wouldn't be available as they cancelled my order and refunded me.
