If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

@WisestIsShe

DF is going to be 80 next month and is always cold. He likes walking though so I'm thinking about an ultra lightweight down layer. Do Uniqlo do discounts? Or suggestions for anywhere else to look?
I got some base layers for us (not down though) from the Triumph Outlet linked, 50% off and another 50% with SPOOKY50
LikeSilver · 30/10/2021 10:02

@PinkJam Thanks for the heads up on Claire’s. Do you know if it’s full price items only? I tried to check out with clearance items but no option for free delivery.

PinkDaydreams · 30/10/2021 10:05

@rainingcats try tkmaxx for Playmobil knight toys, my local had a few different sets when I popped in beginning of the week. I've learnt the hard way with tkmaxx to just buy if I see something suitable, don't dither (like I used to) as it'll sell and likely not be replaced!!

rainingcats · 30/10/2021 10:05

@Tinysnickers
@Bryna

Thank you - playmobile figures look perfect!

Twonka · 30/10/2021 10:06

Morning
Is there a separate thread for Christmas ideas?
I’m really struggling to think of something ‘big/wow’ for DS5, I’m thinking of getting DD7 a barber campervan/house so need something of similar excitement… I’m stuck and I just can’t think of anything..

rainingcats · 30/10/2021 10:12

@PinkDaydreams

Thank you. I am off real life shopping today so will pop into TkMax for a nose.

Room4onemore · 30/10/2021 10:16

If you spend £99 in pandora you get a free Christmas 2021 ornament

PinkJam · 30/10/2021 10:18

@LikeSilver It doesn’t say anything about full price only. But you need to be signed up for “Claire’s rewards” (it’s free) then it should let you check out

coolpattern · 30/10/2021 10:19

@picklepants756

Would anyone be able to help me out with an asos student code / discount code please? Sorry if it's cheeky just about to place a big Xmas gift order!
It’s only 10% though: D81D34CE3B29
KG1145 · 30/10/2021 10:21

@rainingcats

Oh no I dithered on the diffuser and have missed out! Would have been perfect for my mum.

Has anybody seen any bargain knight / dragon / cannon ball figures which would be suitable for a four year old. I’ve picked him up a wooden castle from Facebook Marketplace so need some figures for him to play with it.

I got a lovely diffuser from tk maxx last week. RRP £85 down to £24
BadgerFace · 30/10/2021 10:35

@Twonka what about a Paw Patrol fire engine? My DD got hers when she was 4 but still plays with it now at nearly 6.

Methenyouplus4 · 30/10/2021 10:43

On the note of oil defusers- please be aware many oils are toxic to pets when defused.

I bought a defuser (thankfully hadn't used it yet) when someone mentioned it to me. We have cats and there are only a handful of oils that can safely be used, and even then only recommended for an hour per day as their respiratory system is more sensitive.

You can google to find out more.

Sorry, not very festive and perhaps this is already common knowledge to most (it wasn't to me), so also worth being aware of if you are buying as a gift (if they have pets).

WaitWhatOh · 30/10/2021 10:43

@Justhereforthechristmasthreads thank you for the IWOOT code for the 100 cheeses poster -and for telling me it was there to start with! The code and a discount they already had mean it was just over £12!! Huge saving from £21 on Amazon and even more on Not on the high street! Thank you!!

Gutted I missed out on the Neom diffuser. I wonder why they dropped the price so near to Christmas
Thank you for confirming the Squishmallows will be in store Sunday
Does anyone have a sleep mask recommendation please?
Also can someone please link to the 10 per day thread? I've seen it mentioned elsewhere on Mumsnet

What sort of thing does DS like? At 5 my dds started getting into Lego, building then playing with it.

If he's more physical would he like a scooter, bike, rollerskates, football goal, basketball hoop.

Or if he likes role play something like a dressing up chest with accessories. Mine adored their tent from IKEA at that age, we put all the gifts inside it for them to find the year they were 5 and 2.

If he likes small world and figures, imaginext is great for that age. They do superheroes, ninja turtles, jurassic world, then generic sets too.

Or similar sized to barbie you can get superhero action figures. Not sure if there's a house or vehicle equivalent though.

girlsyearapart · 30/10/2021 11:02

Another thanks for that Hype code @clpsmum
Three hoodies a pair of joggers and a pair of sliders for £40

Puffalicious · 30/10/2021 11:05

Anyone found any decent light up trainers on their shopping adventures? Or could recommend a pair that are conformable? There's many online but no way of knowing how decent they are. DS3 has just announced he'd like Santa to bring some. Junior Size 3 or 4 so not toddler sized.Thanks.

Tamtam86 · 30/10/2021 11:08

Thanks for the M&S PJ offer and whoever posted the bloom & wild code yesterday, PJs ordered for the DC and have sent some birthday flowers to a friend.

next on my list I'm looking for an interactive toy pet for DD, I think Hope the Rainbow Husky is front runner but are there any others worth considering?
