What books would you buy for these ages for Xmas? A bit stuck!!

My 8 year old fluent reader loves Harry Potter, Artemis Fowl, David Walliams, Tom Gates, The House with Chicken Legs by Sophie Anderson, The Impossible Boy by Ben Brooks...
For something they're less likely to have read already, he loved the Marsh Road Mysteries series.
Or for facts that are stranger than fiction the Guiness World of Records and Ripleys Believe it or Not are great books.

Is the Christmas Pig ok for 9 year olds? I read it was for 5+?

Also my 13 year old has started to pass on his old books, in an avuncular way, to our 9 year old ("I think this would be a good book for you to read now...")

My 12 year old is an avid reader and currently obsessed with the School for Good and Evil series (its being made into a film at the mo too), Keeper of the Lost Cities series and the Percy Jackson series and spin-offs. She still also loves HP.

Came on to say Warrior Cats but seen it's already been recommended 😁 Also Wizards of Once series and any books by Katherine Rundell have gone down well here, especially The Explorer.

DS who is nearly 11 and a very keen reader is really enjoying the Land of Stories book collection by Chris Colfer at the moment. 8 year old who doesn't read anywhere near as much is enjoying Mr Gum books and has recently enjoyed Dog Man and Tom Gates books (think the cartoon style appealed).

herecomes we don't have The Christmas Pig but Amazon have the reading age as 8-12. Thought I'd get it for my kids.

@severusvape @logoplanter and anyone else with a Warrior Cats fan... There is a pretty good
merchandise site with some cute small gift ideas if you're looking for stocking fillers etc.
