Favourite Christmas Markets

Looking at going to a Christmas Market this year, have done Birmingham and Cardiff in the past. Just wondered where people recommend?

Lincoln is lovely but very busy. If you go on Thursday night or Sunday afternoon it's a much nicer experience. Do the cathedral and the castle walls too. Awesome!

Edinburgh. Would love to do Cologne.

Lincoln is lovely (I live close by). Agree with SummerHouse though, my favourite time by far to attend is the Thursday nights. Much quieter and atmospheric.

Bath is lovely. Every couple of hours the Abbey has a service and you can go in and join in the carols

What’s Birmingham’s Christmas market like? DD is there for Uni so figured I could do the market with her when collecting her at the end of term?

I'd love to know which is best in the Northern France region, if anyone has recommendations, please share!

I agree that Lincoln is wonderful. There's a park and ride that was very easy to use too. I quite enjoyed one I visited in Manchester years ago, although it was on a weekday so the fact it wasn't busy was bliss.
