Hotel on London for pre Christmas visit

I am hoping to visit London for a couple of nights pre Christmas to do some festive activities. Can anyone recommend a hotel that feels festive? Thanks

Depends obviously on your budget. We really like Citizen M and usually stay in the Tower Hill one which is opposite the Tower of London (definitely worth paying the extra few pounds for a view of the tower) and right next door to the tube. The bus stops are over the road and the DLR is two minutes walk. They’ve also got hotels in Bank and Shoreditch but we’ve not stayed there. The rooms are not traditional. They’re not huge and everything is done on a tablet, but the beds are absolutely huge and so, so comfortable, the showers are lush and the lobby is the sort of place you could sit by yourself and people watch in peace. It’s not traditionally festive but it’s a really nice place to stay.

If the budget isn’t a problem, it would be the Savoy any night of the week.

I stayed here recently on a deal. It was really pleasant. I went with my teenage daughter. Right in the centre of seven dials (Covent Garden). It will be festive around there at Christmas
