Frog bikes - does anyone have one?

DS suggested one of these as a Christmas present for his 4 year old DS. They are obviously more expensive than basic Halfords bikes, but apparently they hold their second hand value.
We ordered one and it is sitting in the cellar until Christmas. Has anyone got any any thoughts on them? Just want reassurance really that the cash we forked out was worth it.

Can anyone help on the frog sizes ? I've put into the inside leg things but it suggests either frog 40 or 44

Inside leg is 45cm, DS is 5, but tall, age 6-7 clothes, currently on a Halfords 16 inch which the wheels looks small for him.

sleepingrabbits, DH asked us to order Frog47 and that's what we have. I assumed he knew what would be right for DGS, who is four and a half. But your post has got me wondering.

@TrickyD now you've said that, I've just remeasured DS and he is more like 50cm, my bad one handed technique before .. was using the size chart on bike club, but found the frog one so can answer my own question on comparison to Halfords sizing of a 16 inch. So he'd prob be more like frog 47/ 52, my DS is only just 5 ( July birthday) so depending on how tall your Grandson is could be the right one.? They absolutely grow like weeds at this sort of age.

It seems you were all right about Frog bikes holding their value. I have just seen a second hand one on our FB local selling site for just £10 less than I paid for a new one.

My dds had them, they were great !
