PSA: Asda slots available

Newnews · 19/10/2021 10:11

Sorry if this has already been done elsewhere but I couldn’t find a thread. Christmas delivery slots seem to be open for Asda delivery pass customers. I got an email this morning, managed to get a cracking slot for the 23rd. So if you have a pass then check your emails!

As you were.

Than you! Just got my slot for the 23rd!

SausageRoll2020 · 19/10/2021 16:48

Thank you!
Slot reserved for the 23rd 🛍️🎄

NotanotherboxofFrogs · 19/10/2021 21:16

Thank you.

Slots reserved for myself and other family members.

Yay I’m glad you have all been able to book slots. I always do a little sigh of relief when the supermarket shop is booked, means I should (hopefully!) not have to go traipsing round in person. Perhaps if they are out of stock of anything I might have to get one or two bits but the bulk of it should be covered.

Thank you for posting.

23rd December slot is now booked xx

aintnousernamelikenousername · 20/10/2021 11:53

Thanks! I also got a slot booked for 23rd December, it was pretty good last year, I think I maybe had two subs for things very similar so we didn't need to repurchase anything

Newnews · 20/10/2021 20:55

Well now I’m freaking out 😂 had my normal Asda delivery this morning. Was chatting to the woman delivering and told her I was very chuffed that I managed to get one of the slots on the 23rd and she pulled a funny face and said “ooh better hope everything’s in stock then. Still if it’s not then we do have an emergency driver in hand for the 24th for any major issues”. Now I’m thinking the 23rd might be too risky and I should have gone for 22nd…?! Or will all my veg be past it’s best if I get it that early?!

(Majorly overthinking this obvs)

Thanks for this, I got one for the 23rd too.
Leaves enough time to go out in case of anything missing.

NigelSlatersXmasTaters · 20/10/2021 22:35

23rd here too. Was all fine last year, 2 subs but appropriate ones Grin

I book an early slot in case I need to send one of my slaves elves out to the shop

ilovesooty · 20/10/2021 22:42

Yes, slot for 23rd booked yesterday. If there's anything missing I'm sure I'll manage without it

EssexLioness · 20/10/2021 22:44

Thanks for the heads up, booked mine for the 23rd

NigelSlatersXmasTaters · 20/10/2021 22:55

Same @ilovesooty

The chipolatas and streaky bacon are already safely in the freezer along with the sausagemeat.

Goose fat bought also and we will make the cake this week

CornishGem1975 · 21/10/2021 09:29

I got the 23rd too and I was on as soon as they came out. Makes me wonder...as nobody I know has managed to get 24th!

BarefootHippieChick · 21/10/2021 09:52

Asda are on the ball! Come on tesco, get your finger out....

Aposterhasnoname · 21/10/2021 10:10

Thanks, just bagged mine for the 23rd. They kept that quiet, no emails for me.

NigelSlatersXmasTaters · 21/10/2021 10:13

They don't deliver on the 24th. Didn't last year anyway

Willowwarble · 21/10/2021 10:22

I have the 22nd. I am being cautious as the last two years they cancelled my order on the day of delivery so I am allowing a "safety window" this year

CornishGem1975 · 21/10/2021 10:24

Ahhhhhh.

I used to like my Xmas Eve Morrisons delivery.

CornishGem1975 · 21/10/2021 10:25

@Aposterhasnoname

I think I had yours - I've had four emails about it so far!
Newnews · 21/10/2021 10:55

@Willowwarble this is what I’m worried about! Eek.

@NigelSlatersXmasTaters the lady I spoke to said they just have an emergency driver on the 24th. Presumably in case Asda have managed to cock up with so many orders on the 23rd or delivered a turkey that has gone off or whatever.
