Just read a similar thread for teenage girls, it had some excellent ideas on it.

Now I need some for my 15yo DS!!

His interests are PS4, computers ( he’s built his own), rappers, top end trainers ( he buys replicas).

He also quite likes cooking, Breaking Bad and ...... I can’t think of anything else at the moment!

PS4 games, headphones with mic, gaming chair, cologne, fitness tracker / watch, speaker, slides (shoes)

I always struggle buying for teen boys & men.Grin

He tends to play more games on the computer. I don’t really understand.

He’s got most of the things you’ve mentioned!

Yep, there’s usually ALOT of Lynx and chocolate involved!

I bought mine a 12 month play magazine subscription, maybe a pc magazine subscription if he is into that more? Its such a difficult age!

MrsHookey · 07/10/2021 07:23

Beanie with earphones built in.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 07/10/2021 07:30

You might have seen it already, but there's a 'gifts for teenage boys' thread in the Christmas topic which might help with some ideas.

What about a popcorn or hot chocolate maker? There's a Joe & Seph popcorn maker and Hotel Chocolat have the Velvetiser (though plenty of cheaper options which will do the same job just as well).

BeetyAxe · 07/10/2021 07:40

Cinema vouchers
Jewellery- something like a black leather wristband with a silver clasp
Comics
Money presented in a fun way, like inside lots of mini boxes or something?

BaconAndAvocado · 07/10/2021 08:46

I like the Lego architecture idea, he'd already expressed an interest in Lego Technic.

People are going to start thinking I work for them because I feel like I always mention them Grin but Pocket Operator synthesizers! They do a huge amount for the size and price, huge hit with older DS1 the last couple of years.

FearlessSwiftie · 07/10/2021 11:38

Some cool cookbooks with recipes from movies/series?
Lava lamps related to superheroes if he's into Marvel/DC universe, something like this- www.amazon.co.uk/Marvel-Comics-Spider-Man-Motion-Lava/dp/B07HTBLBTH?tag=mumsnetforu03-21
Could also be tech stuff like a photo editing program, here is a list of good ones- photography.tutsplus.com/articles/best-photo-editing-software-pc-free-paid--cms-36447 or a portable charger.
Good headphones.
Beanie with earphones built in actually sounds pretty cool, too!
A box filled with snacks he likes the most.

SirenHead · 07/10/2021 14:18

Virtual Reality headset? Can get them for the PS4 or stand alone ones, or ones that plug into the computer. They are a lot of fun!

Bear DS plays electric guitar. Would one of these be suitable for a guitarist?

To add to the thread
Fire Stick
Wireless phone charger pad
Yard of Oreos (these are generally demolished long before New Year)

BearSoFair · 07/10/2021 17:01

@TheWoollybacksWife They can't be linked up with a guitar as far as I know, none of the ones DS has anyway, they're just little standalone synths, but DS had also only played guitar beforehand and he still took to it and loves them! PMTVUK on Youtube should still have some great videos demonstrating them and giving an idea of the different sounds they can produce.

cloudtree · 07/10/2021 17:09

I think at that age you have to start asking them. Mine are 16 and 14 and for the past few years Ive had a lot of hits but also a lot of expensive misses too. Its not like they believe in father Christmas anymore and so I'd just ask them what they want and get a few little surprise bits.

Mine so far have oodie type things and that's it. They will have portable phone chargers, charging cables etc in their stockings, a few books, chocolate, cinema vouchers, underwear, aftershave and a hoodie and then I think I will be asking them what they want.

MoreThanAnOffDay · 07/10/2021 21:50

Led lights
New headset for gaming
Alexa
Bose soundlink mini
Dressing gown
Clothes
Wireless charging doc
