Having just adopted a large dog, I have realised we now have no room for a large real tree. DD has agreed we can get a little one to go on the side, I'm going fake...

Our living room is tiny but I'd like to make it Christmassy and would be really grateful for any ideas for nice decorations I could get in the absence of a real tree .

And any small fake trees! Think I'm looking at 2ft maybe 2.5fr. We have stacks of special baubles which won't all go on so any ideas for how to display them would be great - has to be secure to due to ddog!

We are in a static van whilst doing a house renovation. Last year, we got a 1/2 tree. It sounds odd, but sits perfectly in a corner or against a wall, and you'd never know it takes up half the space of a regular tree (see pic). It was from argos, but might be taller than you.

There is another half tree, where it only has branches at the top half- presumably to stop pets nibbling on them. Friends had a baby fence around their tree.

There are also super thin, pop up trees.

You could hang things from the ceiling or at the ends of curtain rails

YOu could hang baubles off houseplants too.

You can get small artificial half trees that hang on the wall, if you have a strong picture hook or a screw/rawlplug to hang it from. Look on Amazon or some garden centres may have one.

You could have a fir garland on a mantel if you have one, or a garland along a sideboard which could both be decorated with your baubles as well as the half tree.

Thank @Spikeyplants your tree looks ace. We don't have a corner really to put one in , in have a table next to the sofa in the corner in a kind of nook, have seen a 2ft one at habitat / argos just waiting for it to come into stock.
I don't yet have a mantle (next years project !) but I do have some artificial wreaths so may find a way of hanging them and good idea @girlywhirly to hang baubles off them. I can stick up some holders and need to decorate the room anyway (hence waiting to get a mantle!).

Do you have a dining table you could hang a wreath over? Or a stretch of wall for a spray of greenery? Garlands up the stairs?

@TheSockMonster yes I don't normally do much in the kitchen but that looks lovely. Need to get planning! Dunelm have some lovely garlands I've just seen - just waiting for them to come into stock!

Paper chains! Cheap and some really lovely looking traditional ones and will fill the room with decorations. Some of the east of India are lovely
