So DD will be 13 just before xmas. I have no idea what to get her! She's also autistic so not into a lot of typical teen stuff.

Here's some examples of what she's NOT into:

Clothes/shoes/bags
Make up
Colouring in stuff
Craft stuff
Lego

She sort of likes bath bombs, not perfumes etc. She still likes Harry Potter but doesn't wear the merchandise anymore.

A few things she loves:

Roblox
Exercise ball (she bounces for comfort)
Fidget type toys

Any suggestions welcome (please 😂)

I love those CMY cubes, so thanks very much to a PP for linking to them! I think they might go in stockings this year.

My ASD son, 9, likes heavy blankets. I recently made him a heavy quilt with some favourite character fabric on, but any character or favourite colour blanket might go down well? another things he particularly likes is a projector that projects the night sky / constellations on his bedroom ceiling. And a massive beanbag.

I’ve also bought him a wooden spoon with his name on for his stocking… he’s always hovering to lick the bowl when I’m baking Wink

Lush bathbombs. My dd is 19 and still loves these.

13 yo ASC dd is really into Marvel, so I am getting her some Marvel stamps which I am going to frame. Thinking about the Funko Pop marvel characters.

We have the projector with stars, weighted blanket ....

All sounding familiar!

Any ideas where I can buy some decent fidget toys for my 16 year old ASD dd? She loves them but I’m trying to find some that are more durable than the cheap plastic toys that usually available.

Weighted blanket
Ceiling projector
Harry Potter bedding
Rubix cube
Fidget cube

The Harry Potter bath set suggested earlier looks great.

If she enjoys physical sensations for comfort and is sensory seeking how about

Head massager or massage cushion?
Exercise bands for stretching?
Balance boards?
Squeezy Stress toys?

@Dogatetheleftovers where do you buy these light strips? They sound great!

Dogatetheleftovers · 11/10/2021 21:46

Sorry! It hasn’t linked. But I hope it’s enough info to be able to look on Amazon.
