What things do you do around this time of year that are different, original or particular to your culture?
My stepdad and my 2 stepdaughters are Swedish so there is always a touch of Sweden for us at Christmas. Lots of light, candles, etc. One thing we do which is out of the ordinary is to celebrate Santa Lucia on Dec 13th with Lucia coming in her white dress and crown of evergreens & and candles on her head (this is usually me but I'm getting a bit past it!) to wake everyone with coffee, special Lucie-buns (S-shaped saffron rolls) & gingercookies. Magic!
