One of the Boots Star Gifts for today is the Macmillan Advent Calendar, £85 reduced to £42.50. £2 of which goes to Macmillan Cancer Support.

If you click on any of the product names here it takes you to the Boots product so you can see the usual price Boots charges for it, although it might be for a different size.

Everything I tested was valued at least £2, and the eyelash curlers are £8, although their review isn't very good.

Code MAQM60 gives 10% off orders over £50, but you might need to test what you can add to get that total. Adding another Advent calendar didn't work. There's 20% off if you add student verification to an Advantage Card. Apparently there's 10% off at Boots all year round anyway.

Checking in Bought all my gifts for DS5, last few bits to get for DS2. I’ve bought my hard to buy for BFF the turtle dove wrist warmers for her birthday next month but I need an equally amazing Christmas present. Any ideas? In the past I’ve done high end make up, candle subscriptions. She likes luxury brands but I can only stretch to about £35 so I have to be creative

I'd keep an eye on TKMaxx as a way to get branded stuff cheap. I went in yesterday and lots of stuff was being reduced with clearance labels to make space for xmas stock. I got a tisserand aromatherapy set usually £20 for £4. Loads of branded makeup and branded body products too. Also nice leather handbags and purses by known brands like osprey, beautiful leather gloves etc.

Thanks for the Tesco update whoever put it on- it is 25% off all clothes today.
