Tree topper alternative, help please

Hello all,

I need some help topping our tree, I have two (in theory) sort of fancy wire outline ones. But I always think the top of the tree is too skinny to hold them. I end up folding it down to double the width, and even then they invariably tip sideways.... I’ve had enough of that. What else could I put on the top of the tree? I’m really lacking in imagination for this one...

We have Mickey ears as out tree topper. My tree is Disney though!

@escapeyou - I would love to see a photo of that! My tree is mostly Disney (see tink above as my tree topper) but love getting new ideas.

We’ve got an origami star that ties on to the top, light but sturdy enough so no leaning over after it’s been up a while. From Etsy last year after my metal scandi topper broke

Just in case it helps anyone we have a gold wire star that always used to bend the top branch over and the cone was too big so it was always looking as though it would topple off. However we now don't put it over the top of the top branch any more, we put it in front of the branch so that the top point of the star is level with the top of the branch. We attach it by twisting gold glittery pipe cleaners through the star star around the branch. Because the cone is then resting on the lower branches the weight it supported and it doesn't topple.

I would imagine this could work with other decorations as well. It does reduce the height of the tree but I think it's worth it.

Having said that I really want an angel with golden wings and a velvet outfit to replace the star - just need to find one in my price bracket!

Welcome to the owl club I love the idea of the dinosaur hand puppet as well though!

Love the dinosaur! I saw a pic earlier here of a dinosaur attacking a gingerbread house that hadn’t gone to plan. I was thinking there should be more dinosaurs at Christmas.

I wonder if I can find a t-rex with a hat and wings... [off to google]
