Christmas Food Delivery Slots?

Does anyone know when we the food delivery slots for Christmas will be released please? I’m thinking Sainsbury’s, M&S and Asda? Thanks!

I'm clearly not a Waitrose priority customer, can't see any slots past October 😭

Ocado has opened today and I have booked mine for 24/12! I'm sure the email told me it's free but they charged me £9.99 again

There should be a voucher code in the Ocado email to make it free delivery.

I don't understand why I can't book an Ocado slot. I've not had an email, but I'm a smart pass anytime member, have been for years and have had a Christmas delivery from them for probably the past 10 years!

I also haven’t had an Ocado email and can’t book a slot despite being a Smartpass customer & receiving an email last week stating Christmas slots would be released soon and Smartpass people would get priority…maybe they release them by area?

No Ocado email here either. This reminds me of last year, when all the slots had gone by the time I boot the email. Don’t know what they’re playing at.

Looks to be for Waitrose priority customers only (the ones who were given priority as clinically extremely vulnerable) - I've been able to book a slot, but not my wife.

Ocado email said they were releasing different areas on different days. Ours was released this morning and got an email last night, booked at slot at 6:30am this morning.

I think it's probably for heavy users of the delivery service. For a period of twelve months I was ordering for three families. No-one CV though.

You can order Booths Christmas food now, collect from the 21st.

(I am going to repeat my strategy of last year which was turkey from the butcher, early morning trip to Lidl followed by early morning trip to Booths, and not bother with ordering; the only reason we did this last year was because we weren't sure where we were spending Christmas till Boris told us and we just cancelled all our orders, but it worked very well).

Booths' Christmas stuff isn't on sale until 15 Oct. You can buy some stuff, but it's not their full Christmas range.

Ocado delivery for Anytime pass holders is free for Xmas week using a code that you enter at checkout. It’s in the email you get saying your slots are open. Midweek pass doesn’t get one.
It also says that if you cancel your slot within 2 weeks of the delivery date they may still charge you the 9.99 amount.
When I went on the live chat this morning to find out when it might show availability for me, I was told it is being rolled out gradually around the country so the website doesn’t get overwhelmed. So keep an eye on the email. It also came from a different email address to the ones that send receipts and order details so check your junk folder too.

No Ocado Christmas slots for me either. I didn’t get one last year, and I assumed it was because there were several months in lockdown where I couldn’t get a delivery, but I’m back up to weekly deliveries now so I’ll be annoyed if I don’t get a decent slot.

I have an Ocado Smart Pass but nothing doing there, it would seem.

Booked my Ocado slot with the free delivery voucher at 00.10 this morning

They did say they are staggering the slots for anytime customers which is good idea. I was worried the site would crash and we’d get the queuing line again but it all worked fine

M&S Christmas food collection slots now open- no New Year slots though- just ordered my 23rd Dec collection slot- poor pickings I have to say, also Sainsbury's collection slots open- even poorer pickings !

I've reserved Ocado but tempted to just get an m and s collection as it has better food choice.

Yes, @guffaux. I've done a small Sainsbury's order. Much less on offer than last year and some inflated prices too.

Waitrose priority is for regular use customers not CEV. I booked mine earlier this week, not CEV but have been using them regularly since they started delivering in our area after splitting with Ocado.

Saying that, they may well be for CEV customers too! But they are definitely available for high use customers

Are Sainsbury's booking collection slots?! Argh, I'm starting to take it personally!

Waitrose, I had CEV priority but I only order about once a month from them now so fair enough that I can't book a slot yet.

Sainsbury's, I also had CEV priority and I have a delivery pass and order every week. Why can't I book with them yet? Neither collection nor delivery showing.

Pre pandemic Ocado was the only place I had deliveries from, not that frequent, but often enough. They abandoned me to the wolves covid so I won't be going back to them
