Our Generation or BFriends dolls?

Dd has seen the Megan 'BFriends' doll and outfits in the entertainer and is putting her on her xmas list! However I have also been looking at the Our Generation dolls in Smyths. The Smyths ones are slightly cheaper and seem to have a bigger range with dolls with more accessories.

Has anyone had both? Reviews seem to suggest that Our Generation dolls can stand up on their own but the Bfriends cant?

Which would you go for?

Have you checked our DF (design a friends) at Argos? Fab dolls at a great price with tonnes of outfits and accessories (and quite a bit in the clearance at the moment too). They can't stand up though. We have both the OG dolls and Df dolls and they share their clothes, feet different sizes though. OG dolls can stand but our 5yr old hasn't mastered it yet, but we can make them stand .

Would also recommend the designafriend dolls. Good quality, and I prefer the look of them.

My daughter is generation doll mad. On their website they've got a good range and give a discount when you sign up

Thanks for the DF tips. Im having a look on Argos now, there is a wardrobe set in clearance which is really good value and they also do a gymnastics outfit which dd will love!

I've also just realised that the entertainer version is Rfriends not Bfriends!
Oops, glad you all knew what i meant!

Another for DF dolls. We have OG & DF, DF are slightly smaller some clothes fit the OG but are tight. The same with the play sets, both are good, DF cheaper and sturdier I find. My DDs also like the free charm gifts with the DF dolls x

You can also get non branded clothes from eBay to fit the dolls.

When my DDs were first interested I bought used of marketplace as I wasn’t sure if they would stay interested, 4 years on and they are still going strong.

Personally I think the designafriends and rfriends dolls are nicer looking than our generation and the furniture and accessory are much more affordable. There's no reason why you can't mix and match accessories and clothing sets across the brands tho. Tesco also have some nice dolls and outfits of similar size but I'm not sure what they're called x

Thanks everyone. I ended up ordering the DF from Argos. I picked one with dark hair like Megan so hoping dd won't she isnt exactly the same.
Thanks especially to @Mrsfussypants1 because I manged to get a doll and wardrobe set in Clearance (Luckily in stock to collect not too far from where I work)
And then added a gymnastics outfit too!

@IamChipmunk Dd will love her they come in a beautiful shoe box and wrapped in tissue paper, very special. DF update their range twice a year so there are always some good bargains in the clearance section.
