VR headset

DS(9) has been asking for one of these for two whole years - he says it’s all he wants for Christmas and he will do without any other toys (fine by me as we’re trying to reduce our buying of plastic tat down to nothing) . Trouble is I have no idea what to buy ! I’ve been Googling but none the wiser
Does anyone have one ? what should I get ? He has an x box so I guess one compatible with that.

Dp has an Oculus Quest 2, which is great, but it isn't designed for dc so young. It is aimed at 13+. My dc (10 and 8) have had a go on a few things, bit the headset is slightly too big and lots of the content wouldn't be suitable (obviously dp vets things before we let them on). It also has to be linked to a Facebook account.

We have occulus and DS9 loves it, lots of age appropriate content too and a lot of it is free.
Best thing we ever bought!
