Quick, do I go for a Nintendo DS or a Wii?

Dd will be getting a Nintendo DS for Xmas (to replace the one her little brother threw down the stairs) but yesterday a friend told me to go for the Wii instead. Apparently it has the added advantage that we can all play with it. I'm an absolute dope about all this stuff - can anyone help me before it's too late? Thanks!

where'd you get your wii, fc? I got one at migros, 399, but last week they had them in bundle with sonic olympic games, which I've heard is really good, so 50 chf more, but 50 chf saved on price of getting game separately. I took mine back and swapped it for the bundle no problem on friday.

so in a nutshell, heard that sonic/mario olympic games good.

also, a 2nd controller (which you'll need as they only come with 1 I think) is about 65 chf, but in interdiscount it's 75chf together with a game.., so I'd recommend that. get granny or someone to buy so you don't fell like you're spending ££££££. but the whole point of wii is playing together, so 2nd/3rd control an inevitable purchase I'm afraid.

haven't told dh yet I've got one, but between 3 kids I don't think it's too fruity.

Oh thanks ernest! Will pop down to local interdiscount & get the controller bundle. Which controller is it, btw? the one that looks like a telly zapper? or the pistol-shaped one? or another that I don't know about? [anxiety emoticon]
