Was pleased with my Swizzels find last year and have heard Gourmet Marshmallow is good but any other good ones? Not LibertySmile or over £30.

I say every year I’m going to treat myself to a nice advent calendar and never do so I’m following this thread and this will be the year Grin

Poppins17 · 02/09/2021 20:34

I’ve ordered us the naked marshmallow one today with a burner it’s only £18.95 and you get 25 doors which I like!

BunnytheFriendlyDragon · 02/09/2021 20:46

For a woman, you can't beat the M&S one but last year they didn't do one Sad

Haircut81 · 03/09/2021 06:19

Pukka Tea is lovely, less than a tenner. I bought them last year for teens and older people and they went down well.

cliffdiver · 03/09/2021 06:26

I had a cheese one a couple of years ago.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 03/09/2021 06:29

I hot a sherlock Holmes one last year, different mystery to solve each day.
Its a flip book so can reusedmore than once.

User875906 · 03/09/2021 06:36

The Bonne Maman jam one is good, individual pots of jam in good flavours, cost about £27 iirc

Bigoldhag · 03/09/2021 09:48

Anyone got a good one for a man? Do lego do one? Or some other build a thing type?

Treating my parents this year, mum will likely get the no7 one - so something similar in price hopefully.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 03/09/2021 09:50

There are various Lego ones, but very simple. @Bigoldhag

Bigoldhag · 03/09/2021 10:09

Yes, just did a google search. Really unsure what type of one to get him, i think the lego is no right - he enjoys building little things like that but isnt particularly a lego fan - so those simple ones arent right.

Im stuck really. He’s not a huge foodie, does drink beer but not a hobbyist about it and no notable hobbies.

felulageller · 03/09/2021 10:17

I've got the m&s ones in the past but not seen any offers this year?

BunnytheFriendlyDragon · 03/09/2021 10:19

There's a thread on beauty advent calendars

PhantomErik · 03/09/2021 10:24

Bigoldhag have a look on the Menkind website, they had a couple of interesting ones, build your own transistor radio etc

FredaFox · 03/09/2021 19:10

Does anybody have a link to bonne mamabn calendars? I can only find them abroad

MeredithMae · 04/09/2021 15:59

Didn't really like the naked marshmallow one last year- some really weird flavours.

I think Costco have them.
JeVoudrais · 04/09/2021 16:07

Also didn't like the naked marshmallow calendar

Someaddedsugar · 04/09/2021 16:12

Hope you don't mind me jumping on your thread OP. Does anyone have any ideas for my DM who is trying to avoid single use plastics and 'stuff'. I'll be getting DF the BrewDog one (we don't do presents but then look after our DC each week and so it's a little thank you gift).

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

To the PP who referenced calendars for men - there are lots of beer/rum/whisky calendars and also a pork scratching one and a cheese one - might be of interest?

Bird and Blend do a fab tea advent calendar

LaTomatina · 04/09/2021 16:24

Me and DH shared a tea one last year. Think it was Lipton's. 2 teabags each day. Felt very middle aged but we loved it...

Someaddedsugar · 04/09/2021 16:24

Tea is a possible option thank you!
