Life size gingerbread house -- creative hats on please

had a little flash of inspiration ...thought that i would transform the girls wendy house into a Christmas themed ginger bread house for the festive season (we have it inside)...got as far as brown paper for the walls, cotton wool on the roof, fairy lights etc...any ideas as to how else we could decorate?

some evergreen branches on the outside, shaped adn taped to look like a tree? then you could decorate that with baubles. some conifer or other...

Fab idea. You'll need glitter on the cotton wool/ foam - snow is sparkly!

Thanks girls...why were you lot all up in the middle of the night??...tought about adding sweets?..maybe candy canes etc...glu on dolly mixture type stuff...but dont want the kids to eat them!!

What a great idea!!! Could you paint loo/kitchen/wrapping paper rolls red and white so they look like candy canes??

You could all have a fun afternoon painting candy canes and sticking them on the house - would be really easy to do with white card and red paint. And glitter? I'm a big fan of glitter!

Paint paper plates different smartie colours and stick on roof like tiles.
Paint large poles stripey red and white for candy canes.
Makr a sweetie garland to hang on door.
Have cut out gingerbread men peering out of window.
