My 7 year old wants ‘a grown up marble run’!?!
What are people’s thoughts on Gravitrax? Is it worth the money? Is there any other grown up marble runs people know of? We have the Galt one (and plenty of it) already so dont need any more of that

We bought ds gravitrax last year and it really is very good. We spent hours playing with it over Christmas and any time his friends visit it’s something they always get out.

I don’t know of any other adult runs - there are quite a few gravitrax videos on YouTube which might give you a bit of a better idea.

It’s brilliant and will last.

We have it- it is really good, but my 7 year old needs a bit of help to build the trickier runs.
Once built he is happy to play for ages though.
He has a go at his own designs too.

There's one called Gravity Maze that looks good- I've considered it time and time again.
Looks like it's mainly cubes that you put together. This would probably suit my 7 year old better than gravitrax as more scope to do it by himself (and less bits to lose)
There is also more height with this- gravitrax tends to stay quite low.

Gravitrax probably a bit more exciting with all the different and clever bits it can do though.

It’s brilliant. Got the starter set for £25 last year (half price) on a “let’s try and see if he likes” whim and my 7yr old loves it. He was growing bored of galt marble runs by then. It’s easier for him to set up runs and they can go high too if have enough bits. I’m adding to his set with expansion packs and extra pieces as he’s asked for more this year (got them really reduced on Amazon so worth keeping an eye out for offers).

Thanks everyone. looks like Gravitrax is a hit! I’ll keep an eye put for it on offer on Amazon!

@winesolveseverything the gravity maze looks good too. I might have that as a back up for his brother!

Both my sons love it, they do need the help of Dad to make the circuit. You do need more than the starter set to keep the interest.

We have both Gravitrax and Gravity Maze both are very good, they’re very different to each other.
Gravitrax is a marble run and they can build their own tracks etc whereas Gravity Maze is a brain game. You get a card with a start and finish point and what pieces you are allowed to use. It’s really good but if your child doesn’t like puzzles/challenges they won’t enjoy it!
