I've just found out that dd1 has the wonderous part of DONKEY in the school nativity ... What does this mean???... Should I be changing schools???

At least she wasn't cast in the role of 'stable'.

YuckIHateCheeseStrings · 29/11/2007 11:18

LOL

The donkey does carry Mary to Bethlehem, so maybe not that bad after all and there is only 1 donkey, better to be unique rather than one of many christmas trees or snowflakes ...

Indeed!

EmsMum · 29/11/2007 17:45

Donkey's the best part isn't it?

Better than soppy ole Mary. Or one of the generic heavenly host.

According to a girl in DS1's class, there's no Mary in their (year 1) play. Just a dolly carried by a donkey . So you see it's a key role

Ds (3 next month) told me he is the donkey's father and has to lead the donkey????? Turns out he is actually Joseph. DD on the other hand is a pig

Pig! Hurumph!

Helped out in dd's class this morning, she thinks being a donkey is great and walks right behind Mary & Joseph in the procession to the stage...and, being honest, it does reflect her personality ... a bit of a trouper but also v stubborn!
