Hello Grin

Looking for stocking stuffer ideas for DS, so far I have the basics, toothbrush, little toy car (the little hot wheels kind from the pound shop), I always get him a Lindt bunny, little personalised Xmas crayons I got from Etsy.

Anymore ideas? It's so hard finding stuff that's small enough to fit in 😂

Thank you!

Oh you are very organised getting on it now!

Last year some of the hits with my (then) 3 year old dd were:

  • bubbles
  • glitter glue pens
  • a pen with a sequin star on top
  • lots of chocolate coins
  • pants
  • hairbrush
  • Lego mini figure

Thank you both @BangingOn & @Bigoldmachine Grin

I like at least having a list saved on my phone but every time I'm shopping or in a shop I'll just pick up something even just a little pound toy that I can put away for either my DS or DP's stocking ☺️

I Highly recommend Rex London for small stocking toys, I got my DS who was 3 last Christmas a nice little music box, some play tickets and a kaleidoscope and a couple of other little bits from there, very nice!

Schleich or Papo animals. My DC are 4 and 2 and both go mad for them. They're so realistic and do pretty much any animal you can think of, they get a couple of different ones every Christmas and birthday.

Matey bubble bath, it's fun but useful. You can get colour changing bubble bath too.

Stickers and temporary tattoos.

Always something useful like a toothbrush or flannel.

Always a little treat/snack.

When DD was 3 we did bubbles, curly straw, a carton of non-dairy chocolate milk as a treat, a small cuddly toy, wooden top, a wind up caterpillar, a wooden “insect eye” viewer and a bug viewer, packet of bath crackles, a push up wooden toy, and light up bath ducks. Most of the things were from Tiger or museum shops and I think the bath crackles (coloured fizzing bath salts!) were from Boots. The biggest hit was the light up bath ducks! They don’t last long as the water eventually gets in, but DD was mesmerised by them.

Rex London have some lovely stuff for that age group regularly in their sale, as a pp said - they have a mini cuddly lion toy in a tin in their sale at the moment which would be a lovely stocking gift for a 3 y o.

UnLunDun · 04/10/2021 15:43

Rocket balloons and foam aeroplane/gliders are great fun at that age, we are also adding toy microphones to all the stockings for our wee ones this year. Noise machine? Oh that toy that is a shark and you press the teeth until one makes it snap it’s jaw shut, that was a great hit with one of mine aged 3.
