Token gift ideas

I’m trying to get away from buying adults gifts, mainly middle aged/ older as it has got out of hand over the years. I’d like to move towards baking/ crafts or token gifts only.

Pleases share ideas of what you make/ buy or plan to do.

Yep, I know all this, but believe me it’s more stress dealing with the fallout.

I’m just going to buy token gifts under £10 and stop the hosting. I can deal with the fallout of a cheap gift, but can’t be bothered with the fallout of not buying anything and the emotional drama about how we don’t care.

What’s the reason why they don’t reciprocate?

Everyone is advising you not to buy. But you're just going to carry on buying.

I can't believe that not only do they not get you anything in return but they throw tantrums and cry if you dont get them anything! And these are grown (middle aged) adults!? Wow! What ungrateful sods.

I've just ordered a load of recycled reusable travel mugs from reclondon.com lots of them reduced to £1.95 I would be happy to receive one of these as a token gift

This is ridiculous. Grown adults crying because they don't get a present, when they haven't given a present? Really?!

if you have small children, get them to draw something nice and then stick it in a cheap magnetic frame, if you really HAVE to give something. Then people can stick it on the fridge or ignore it, but it won't have cost much at all. Or a handmade tree decoration, made by the kids.

Anything else isn't worth it.
