Anyone done Centerparcs for Christmas?

We are thinking about going away for a few days over Christmas and/or new year and wondered what people thought of Centerparcs? We have 3dc- 9, 6 and 18 months.
Is it christmassy for the kids? Are all the activities still on? Is it worth the price?
Thanks!

We have a few times. We do enjoy it mainly as it gets us away from everything at that time of year. It is Christmassy. Pre lockdown, lots of activities for the kids (extra cost though) and you can book to visit Santa ect. I'm not sure how it will be this year with swimming ect but we are booked to go. Price wise it's massively overpriced but worth it for us for various other reasons!! Which one are you looking at?

We’ve done it over new year once and it was great. All activities still on but got booked up really quickly. It felt lovely and Christmassy and they have fireworks around the lake for the NY countdown. Would definitely recommend.

We didn't go at Christmas but during the wonderland period and it was amazing. Definitely planning to go for Christmas itself next year.

We’ve been for Christmas before. Was expensive, of course, but was so lovely. And very Christmassy. Santa was fantastic. Would go again, but wouldn’t want to every year.

We went for a weekend in December 2018 (not there for Christmas though) and it was lovely.
There are usually festive activities for those who want to do them. The visit to Santa was lovely and he was excellent (the most realistic I've ever seen!)
They had a little North Pole village section with "snow" falling and hot drinks available to buy from an elf, as well as some reindeer.
They also usually have a pantomime on, which kept the kids entertained.
You can pre order a Christmas tree & decorations for your lodge - I missed out on ordering last time so we took 2 fibre optic ones and our own baubles, but have got them ordered for this year

We are going back this year for DD's first festive visit, along with her 3 cousins and they all have birthdays in December so it's always a crazy, busy time for us all!

Thanks for the replies. It does sound lovely so that's reassuring.
It is either Sherwood or Whinfell we are looking at.
That's good you can pre-order Christmas trees and decorations. The new year fireworks sound lovely. Can't decide between going for Christmas or New Year now!

I’ve been to Longleat twice for the a week at Christmas and both times were fabulous. I found the more money you have to book activities the better the holiday. We did things like horse and carriage ride to Santa’s grotto and brunch with Santa. The decorations were beautiful. I preferred it to going abroad at Christmas. We had a real tree delivered to the villa and our DC decorated it as we unpacked.

I think we might push the boat out and go for a treat for the kids. My eldest is 9 so she might not be as into all of the Santa stuff if we leave it another year.
Very excited now Grin

We go every year for Christmas, in my opinion it’s only good if you go to Whinfel, it’s undercover and the Christmas village is the best out of the lot. My children love the sparkly lights and it wouldn’t feel like Christmas if we didn’t go.

Best Christmas activities are

Gingerbread decorating with Mrs Clause
Visits to Father Christmas
Fireworks on the lake followed by Father Christmas by boat
Christmas elf trail
Cupcake decoration
Make a huge Christmas stocking.

There’s so much to do it’s so worth the money!

The pantomime is rubbish but we still go and enjoy it.

Avoid the Christmas roast at the lakeside inn, it’s awful but Bella and cafe rouge is great..

I go to Longleat every year for my DS birthday between Christmas and New Year and it's amazing. Very festive with lots of activities to do.

Christmas wonderland is the best time to do centerparcs , I’ve only done it at Longleat but it’s brilliant there .
