No. It's still only November.

theowlwhowasafraidofthedark · 27/11/2007 17:46

From 1st Dec its all about christmas. Find it difficult to hold back though. I wish we did thanksgiving festival over here - it would make the dark days between bonfire nights and christmas go a little bit faster.

janeite · 27/11/2007 17:56

It is NOVEMBER - why on earth would anybody want to put their CHRISTMAS (ie 25th December) decorations up? Or is it a strange competition that I don't understand the rules of - as to who can be first? Very odd imho.

Chilimama · 27/11/2007 17:59

Ours go up on the day before dd1's birthday (13th Dec). It ruins the excitiment for me if we put them up too early.

Our neighbours put flashing lights up earlier and they are annoying me already (Bah humbug! )

Ours are not going up until the 13th December, my brother's birthday and 12 days before Christmas

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 27/11/2007 19:55

Califrau - that is the sorriest tale I've heard all week. Your neighbours are all mad!

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 27/11/2007 20:34

califrau - You really need to get back to the Valleys girl. (Love DS & the spider tho )!

pirratePiggy · 28/11/2007 19:19

just come home and next door have xmas lights in the windows. WHYYYYYYYYYY

my biggest hurdle is going to be getting dd in and out the house without her seeing it.

Luckily we only use back gate.

LazyLinePainterJane · 28/11/2007 20:33

What do they do with loo roll in Germany??????

Hulababy · 29/11/2007 18:46

No way, not in November! My decorations won't be going up for ages - normally weekend before Christmas. Might relent with DD this year and put them up the Sunday after she breaks up - so will be 16th I think.

Until then the most we have is DD's advent calander, which I have just finished putting together and hun up, and put the scene (have a playmobil one) on the table, ready for the bits to go on to.
