just thinking a head, does anyone know what colours will be in for Christmas and decorations this year? Am trying to be organised for once!

I’ll be using lots of red this year! But it’s quite a mix for me every year over all the bits I’ve accumulated

I'm going for rose gold, pale, pastel mint green, and white. With a bit of autumn russet thrown in.

TwinsandTrifle · 25/07/2021 23:39

Usually, gold, red, berries, glass. Very naice. Very traditional.

Last year, migrated to a foilage based tree (after not being able to resist some hellishly expensive artificial sprigs, fern fronds, etc that had got 70% off) and created something that looked insanely good, I think I'll be replicating it again. Whites, greens and rich pinks. Had an "Ivy" vibe to it.

Very Christmas obsessed here. Dining Room, hallway, living room, landing, kitchen, all have their specific Christmas decorations and looks Grin

I like the colour blue for Christmas along with more festive colors etc.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 22/08/2021 15:57

Gold and bronze, with a dash of red, for me. I am looking for a Christmas tree skirt OP, do you sell them?

Ilovemyshoppingtrolley · 22/08/2021 16:02

I do but do not have any gold or bronze ones

Last year I had muted purples and coppers but I didnt like it.

So I'm going full on traditional red, gold, green this year I think. If I can get around DH and him let me buy MORE decorations as we're getting quite the collection now Grin

One thing that will never change, my bright coloured lights which can flash in different patterns. Never going back to plain old white lights again.

Treezan82 · 23/08/2021 18:44

Deep red, white and gold here.

Trytowin20 · 23/08/2021 19:59

I'm an old goth girl (and husband, 2 baby bats now) so we have black trees with jewel colour purples, sparkly blacks, bit of silver and dark emerald greens. Same every year, sometimes I'll buy another bauble but always the 'theme' :-)

MovinOnUp · 23/08/2021 23:14

I redecorated my living room during the first lockdown, Mustard, Navy and teal.
Then nearly cried when I realised that all my burgundy and gold Christmas decorations would clash horribly.
I'm a weirdo who is very sensitive to clashing colours so I've packed away the burgundy/red and bought some lovely teal and navy bits and bobs.
So I'll be on the lookout for more of the same!

ShaunaTheSheep · 24/08/2021 09:09

Ours varies. We have loads of sentimental special decorations chosen by the DC. And several different colours of cheap plain baubles. Each year we'll pick a colour scheme eg red purple green; gold silver copper red; or full on rainbow ombré.

OnTheBenchOfDoom · 24/08/2021 09:25

Mine are white, silver and clear and I am not changing anything about it. It has been that scheme for the last few years. I did add some pink glitter baubles in that I made last year because I redecorated the lounge and had a pinky purple rug to consider.

I made my Christmas tree skirt a few years back which is white with silver snowflake print.

Ilove I would make a variety including silver or white, not everyone changes their colour scheme and may wish to add to their existing one, like me.

My tree is Balsam Hill (love it) every year they send me a catalogue with their latest bauble and ribbon sets. Lovely to look at but no way am I spending that kind of money redoing my colour scheme.

Tobebythesea · 24/08/2021 10:05

I’m going for gold and red this year.

I'm headed in that direction this year
Don't suppose you have a pic - for inspiration you know Grin

Lounge and our bedroom are mixed metallics with wood

Hallway and kitchen/diner scandi/white company

Outdoor multicoloured overload loved by the children- their bedroom trees are wonderfully tacky!

Lots of candles!
