Has anyone bought any Christmas presents yet?

I like to buy Christmas (or birthday) presents as and when I come across something that I know the recipient would like. This way I get presents that are likely to be appreciated, and I don't have to stress closer to the time because I don't have a gift to give.

So far however I have a few birthday presents ready to wrap, but nothing for Christmas. In previous years I'd have a couple at least by now.

Has anyone bought any Christmas presents yet? If so, what?

Usually there is a ‘report’ button somewhere at the top of the OP/comment but I think it’s slightly different on iPad/phone/app/pc so I’m not sure how it’d work on your end.

I saw a metal jewellery box with a dragon growing out of the top of it at a vintage fair last month, and got it for DD. She'll adore it, it's so her. Otherwise no.

🙋 but bits I pick up in sales mainly stocking fillers for the DC and discounted Lego when its on offer. Couple of bits from sales at gift stores for DM, dmil and SILs

I bought a present in Feb that I plan to give for Christmas 2022 . It's a ride on ambulance thing. I think DS will still be a bit young for it this year but it was such a bargain I couldn't resist!

Other than that, yes I do have a few bits but they're all for DS. I need to crack on for grown ups but where's the fun in that?!

I always buy stocking fillers when I see them, in sales and so forth. Also things like prime day; and I hang out on the Christmas bargain threads which I love!

So far I have for DD:

• a big Harry Potter Lego set which was 30 percent off on prime day;
• a glitter LED lamp;
• some book sets;
• a Cath Kidston rucksack and purse;
• bits of drawing sets and paper.

I’ve done my sisters and half of the niblings (shoutout to the Playmobil bus…)

Well I have all the presents I bought for last Christmas for my siblings and their OH's, my nieces and their husbands, my nephews and their wives.

None of us met up for Christmas so hopefully will be able to this year.

I found some Lego style minifigures - all Santa versions of Star Wars & Marvel characters.
so everyone picked one, including extras I got 12 in total for about £8.
couldn't resist.
and they will all forget by Christmas...

@irresistibleoverwhelm thank you. I am still angry and frustrated that we abided by the rules which meant I and my siblings spent the first Christmas ever not being with each other and our parents. I am in my 60's and so that was horrible.

What good did it do us though? I keep hearing my mum on the phone saying "we will all get together and no matter what time of year it is that will be our Christmas".

I so wish we could go back in time and just say "sod it we are having a normal Christmas". Now we never will.

Yes stocking fillers for my DC! I only need to buy main prezzies for them now. I'm also following the Xmas bargains thread! It's fantastic! Be warned you'll need plenty of money, there's some great offers, it's all very tempting!

My happy place is on the Christmas boards. I'm not a big poster but read everything. The bargain threads are amazing! I've actually given today some candles I got last year from the boards as thank you teacher gifts. I'm well ahead with stocking fillers this year. My monsters are a bit older this year so will have to wait for their lists. ☃️🎄🎁

Not yet (though I always have fillers here incase of emergency 😁) as I work with children and sometimes need a prize. Sometimes I have enough to fill a stocking.

This year I will do what I did this year with vouchers but one thing I will do is save supermarket coupons soon. That's a big help nearer the time.

Mine want Nintendo DS this year x 2 children. Don't know where to source cheaply.
I picked up christmas jumpers etc in the sale last year. Also pj's.
