When do you put your tree up?

Usually we put ours up a couple of days before christmas and then take it down on 12th night. Trouble is,once Boxing day has been and gone i just want to take it down! Am thinking i'll put it up earlier instead this year. When do you all put yours up?

all my colleagues put theirs up on first of Dec, and think me a real scrooge.

That's the thing - kind of want it to be exiciting for the kids and a bit more festive. Although,if i put it up now the novelty would've worn off by monday and i would have a christamas twig by christmas!

I am going to put ours up on the 1st dec.

Mid Dec. usually - 16th springs to mind for some reason. We used to put it up on the last day of School, buy it on the way home so I have stuck to that sort of idea (ie. mid. dec. )

I was thinking 1st dec. Although 2 of my children are next door helping neighbours with theirs. Let the pestering begin

Put up weekend before Xmas (but may relent and do it the sun before that this year or will only have decs for 3 days). Take down around 12th night.

I have a December birthday (14th) and would NEVER put tree up until birthday well and truly over.

Whenever I give in to Ds' chants of 'Christmas!' when he sees a bit of Xmas related decor.

Usually around the second weekend in December. As a child we used to put it up on the 18th because it was my brother's birthday. I take it down on the twelfth night, unless I get fed up looking at it before then.
