i bought one in tesco for my dd5, a VW Camper, really cute. About £7.

ds is getting Roary the racing car - about £25 I think

My DS (now 4) has this: Bubble Car
We got it from Waitrose (ooh er..) when it was a Berchet make, but it looks like it's been own-branded by Boots. It's easy to control, moves reasonably slowly, and beeps on demand - what's not to like...!
