Safari Set

Anyone know of a good one please? DS (3) has decided he would like one for Xmas. The Plan Toys one is very nice but I think a little too young ie chunky! for him now. Have seen a set by Le Toy Van with a jungle hospital - does anyone have this and would they recommend it at all? It's very hard to decide without seeing one properly! Also suggested to me is an animal nursery by Schleich? Again would be grateful if anyone has this if they could comment? Bit horrified at the price of that one when it is plastic.....Only other thing I can think of is Playmobil - but fancied a change from that this year...........

Hi Dinosaur - the Letterbox one is in fact the Le Toy Van one. Do you have it? It looks lovely in the pic but I haven't actually seen it. And I have heard that the mat that goes with it is rather flimsy for £27! Eek. So I am a little concerned about just jumping in. It looks great in the catalogue though!

Le toy van toys are usually fab quality, we have a few but not the safari set. The playmat does say it has a non slip back so cant see it being that flimsy. We have a playmat from fuzzyfelt that has a non slip back and its great quality so if its similar I wouldnt be too worried.

I've actually ordered the safari mat because all three of my DSs play a lot with their collection of animals.

Thanks. I did see Le Toy Van castles and farms and they looked lovely. Perhaps I should just go for it....it's just stressing me as it would be a main xmas pressie and I want it to be right
