Are Aquabeads and Bindeez the same?

Am aware of the recent problems with Bindeez so was hoping to buy dd1 an Aquabeads refil set instead. Anyone know if this would work?

Bumping in the hope that someone can help me avoid dealing with huge disappointment on Christmas morning...

According to one of the UK retailers of Bindeez, Aquabeads are OK - and they are suggesting Aquabeads as an alternative:

Auqabeads are the same and are the ones that have been withdrawn in Oz as that is what they are called. I think they are called Auqabeads in the US too.

It is Bindeez in the UK that have been recalled

And Bindeez in Australia

I was wrong they are bindeez in Oz but Auqa dots in the US. {blush]

and aqua dots were recalled in the USA last week.
