Im almost sorted!

Just got :

DB and SIL from kids
My dad from kids
Grandparents (but waiting for DS to arrive)
Aunt & uncle
Inlaws (they have asked for voucher so very easy)

And then its just food!

bubblerock · 12/11/2007 12:01

Done, wrapped and been in the pressie cupboard for over a week [smug emoticon]

normabutty · 12/11/2007 12:18

Ok, mine is pretty much done, wrapped, sorted into bags for each house it has to go to. Just got a couple of Secret Santa things to sort when I find out who I'm secret santa to. Am now busy sorting out presents for ILs from my parents, presents for my parents from ILs, my own present from my parents and picking out presents for Erin for my aunt .

Have written all my xmas cards and am starting to stock up on stuff for xmas dinner (like mincemeat for mince pies, etc.)

iwouldgoouttonight · 12/11/2007 12:21

OMG why did I click on this thread??! [scuttles off to cry in (present-less) corner].

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 12/11/2007 12:26

Blimey!

I thought I was doing well, but some of y'all are putting me to shame!

I was dead chuffed that I have ordered, reviewed and paid for our christmas cards as last year I left it too late and had to buy and hand write about 100 of the buggers the day before the last post. Not doing that again.

I have bought rather alot of my pressies, including new christmas PJs and slippers for the DDs (again, forgot last year and it is something of a tradition) but as for wrapping etc...still a long way off.

CountessDracula · 12/11/2007 12:27

it's not

Maidamess · 12/11/2007 12:29

I started too early, now I can't stop!

TellusMater · 12/11/2007 12:37

Um.

I've ordered the turkey and gammon.

And that's it.

ComeOVeneer · 12/11/2007 12:38

All done, wrapped and hidden away. Christmas cards written and stamped ready to post. Cake, mince pies and puddings all made and stored/frozen. Goose ordered. Menus for the festive period planned and shopping lists written. DH thinks I am totally loopy

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 12/11/2007 12:46

I am in awe of you, Veneer.

I am still well ahead of my usual self, and intend to have it all done by December so I can relax a bit and enjoy the festivities instead of stressing over what still needs to be done.

scattyspice · 12/11/2007 12:50

No way. I'm still saving for Xmas!

Leander · 12/11/2007 13:00

just got to buy for my mum and dad, my dh and my niece(if anyone knows anywhere that has got the highschool musical cheerleader costume in stock give us a yell.)we are going to parents for dinner so no need for food yippee.

bubblerock · 12/11/2007 13:05

HERE?

tortoise · 12/11/2007 13:07

Well, it would all be finished if i had any money!
So far have bought 2 small things for each DC.

Leander · 12/11/2007 13:08

cheers for that, now where can i get the pom poms (is that what they are called?)

hana · 12/11/2007 13:08

that is a lot of people to buy for! (hulababy)
we've cut back quite a lot - only give to nephews/neices, not brothers and sisters (and their partners) anymore. I am one of 4 and dh one of 6 so it was adding up quite a lot. (Although there are 15 nephews/neices on dh's side so still a bit
no friends children anymore - we all had a chat a couple of years ago about this, was getting silly

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 12/11/2007 13:17

I like the fact that in the OP, Hula has referred to it as 'resent buying'

Freudian slip, perhaps?

hana · 12/11/2007 13:18

lol!

dooley1 · 12/11/2007 13:24

I am always amazed at ho many people buy on behalf of others - my dh buys his parents a present because they are his parents lol
Likewsie I buy my parents and my siblingd
I'm shocked someone on here buys for inlaws on behalf of their parents and other way round. It just seems pointless as presumably they each know you've done the buying?!!

Hulababy · 12/11/2007 13:27

LOL GOH. No, I actually like present buying, and we buy for people we actually want to buy for too and not others Ifeel obliged to buy for.

I do pretty much all the shopping. DH buys his present to me. He is asked for ideas for others, but it's just easier for me to go and sort it TBH.

tasjaSAmuminUK · 12/11/2007 13:29

my mum

No wrapping yet. I do this just before Christmas.

bubblerock · 12/11/2007 13:32

Pompoms

Troutpout · 12/11/2007 13:42

finished apart from choc/wine
Not wrapped though..! (blardyell bubblerock!)

SoMuchToBits · 12/11/2007 13:49

Done most of mine. Just need to sort stuff for 2 BILs and the PILs, a couple of teenage boys (will probably ask the parents what they'd like) and ds's teacher.

I always do the buying for ds's family as well as mine, because otherwise they would not get anything!

Have also made my cake, pudding and mincemeat, bought cards and wrapping (but not written or wrapped yet), and don't need to order other food, plan menus etc this year, because Yippee!! we're going to my sister's so she will be doing it.

SoMuchToBits · 12/11/2007 13:49

Sorry meant dh's family not ds's!
