Your Perfect Stocking

I’ve decided this year I’m going to make myself a stocking. I have purchased a red velvet, fluffy topped, monogrammed delight and I’m ready to fill it! Hit me with your ideas/wishes. What would be in your dream stocking?

Loving all the suggestions! Think I’ve whittled it down to:

Perfume (undecided at present)
Turkish Delight

Going to start picking bits up and stashing them away

Black fineliners preferably Nibbs as they're lightweight and don't give my arthritis any grief, a bag of chocolate nibs from my local sweetshop because I want them to have all the business they can handle, a vintage 1990s Polly Pocket in used condition, a new keyring preferably with Pusheen or a mini torch, a packet of jam mallows and a few seeds for the birds.

Very excited, bought my first stocking treat today. A bottle of perfume I use to wear. I also bought a lipstick, but it was too nice not to open as soon as I got home 😁 I’ve decided I’m going to buy myself something every month and put it away for myself x

What a great thread.

When I was a child my stocking always contained batteries, walnuts, chocolate coins, a tangerine, small toiletries and tickets to the theatre so I would probably be happy with something like that except for the tangerine as I don''t like them.

Funnily enough I was at my mothers house the other day and had been in the loft and in a tie up bag was one of the old polly pocket tree houses couldn't believe it , it was in such good condition, going to save it for the children

I've never had a stocking so I asked for one last year. Slight crossed wires meant my DH bought a stocking but didn't fill it means this year will be my first.

I ideally would like some chocolate, maybe a book, fruit (tradition) and some sweet, personal little gifts in it (as an example, I'm planning whiskey stones and some funny socks amongst other things for DH).

bless, I dont think men get the hint or understand it if they do get it.

After 6 years of making up my own stocking (I buy multipacks of sweets then split them and would just add 1 or 2 poundland items like a hair accessory or pen etc...) just so DS wouldnt notice I was the only one without one I finally mentioned it to DH that I always have to do it myself.

Outcome of this hint:
Every year as we sit down by the tree to open gifts he hands me a small wrapped gift (usually a CD) thats been sat under the tree with the other presents and with a big pround of himself grin announces 'this is your stocking filler'. I feel like saying 'then why is it not IN a stocking' but its not a hill worth dying on and the long running predictible awkwardness has become quite amusing to me + its nice he sort of took the hint I guess lol.

Vaseline (the Christmas tubs)
Cadbury's Chocolate selection box with the retro design (you can only get this at Christmas).
